Rancho Santa Margarita business leader elected to IA Board of Directors

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Dec. 13, 2022) — The Irrigation Association is pleased to announce that Steve Hohl, principal for Water Concern Ltd., has been elected to the IA Board of Directors.

Hohl graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in irrigation science 30 years ago. He worked at a landscape architecture firm providing irrigation design for 10 years before starting Water Concern. Over the past 20 years, his firm has provided irrigation design and water management services in the Southwest market with an emphasis on master-planned community development, resort facilities, business campuses, parks and commercial landscapes.

Hohl served on the American Society of Irrigation Consultants Board of Directors for over 20 years, with 12 years on the Executive Board. He currently sits on the ASIC’s certification, membership, National Collegiate Landscape Competition and conference committees.

“I believe in strengthening the relationship between design professionals and consultants with the manufacturing, distribution and contracting sectors within the IA to promote common purpose and value in the green industry,” Hohl said.

Hohl joins additional newly elected board members Steve Counter of Roswell, Georgia, and James C. Reid Jr., CID, CAIS, CTA, of Americus, Georgia, as well as the 12 other members who are continuing their terms from previous years.
