Weather-based Controllers

Weather-based controllers monitor changing weather conditions to prevent unnecessary watering and adjust an irrigation schedule to meet the needs of the plant or soil.

Soil Moisture-based Controllers

Using a probe buried in the soil at the root zone, soil moisture-based controllers are programmed to shut off an irrigation system when the ground is already wet, preventing overwatering.

Rain Sensors

Changing weather can quickly affect irrigation needs and lead to wasted irrigation. SWAT protocols test irrigation system rain sensor technology that is developed to help prevent weather-related overwatering.
