Irrigation & Lighting releases the full 2022 Green Industry Outlook survey online
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (March 10, 2022) — Irrigation & Lighting magazine, the business publication serving contractors in those industries, has published the full version of its 2022 Green Industry Outlook survey, sponsored by Heritage Landscape Supply Group. The complete report is available to be downloaded from the magazine’s recently redesigned website.
The survey captures a snapshot of the market with data from 1,583 respondents across the United States. The article provides analysis, comparing this year to the past three years’ survey results. It includes statistics on average crew pay rates and projected growth, as well as data focused specifically on the irrigation and landscape lighting markets.

- A total of 49% of respondents have seen an increase in demand for irrigation system upgrades or retrofits in the past year.
- A total of 80% of respondents say they’ve increased the average pay for crew members in the past year.
- Projected gross revenues for 2022 remain about the same as previous years, with the highest peak for those between $100,001 and $500,000 at 26%.
