Irrigation Foundation program allows winners to experience the Irrigation Show

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Aug. 27, 2018)
— The Irrigation Foundation’s E3 program offers exposure, experience and education to students and instructors. This year’s winners will attend the 2018 Irrigation Show and Education Conference in Long Beach, California, Dec. 3-7.

The deadline to submit applications for the 2018 Irrigation E3 program is Sept. 21. Each winner will receive an education and travel award to attend the Irrigation Show and will be given the chance to take education classes, participate in industry sessions, attend networking events and explore the trade show floor.

Students with an interest in an irrigation-related career path are eligible to apply if they are enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) at a North American community college, university or similar institution of higher learning; have taken or are currently enrolled in a class with an emphasis in irrigation; and have not been selected in prior years as an E3 learner.

Instructors who are teaching (or will be teaching within the next six months) irrigation-related coursework at a North American community college, university or similar institution of higher learning who have not been selected in prior years are eligible to apply.

Winners will be notified by Oct. 15. Learn more about the program requirements and application process at www.irrigation.org/e3.

For some schools, the Irrigation Show dates coincide with final exams or the week prior to final exams; however, the E3 program can be adjusted for students in these situations. Please contact Foundation and Administration Manager Nicole Preisner (nicolepreisner@irrigation.org, 703.536.7080) with any questions or concerns.

The Foundation thanks this year’s E3 sponsors. Lead sponsors are Ewing Irrigation and Landscape Supply and The Toro Company. Supporting sponsors are the American Society of Irrigation Consultants, the Carolina’s Irrigation Association and Hunter Industries.
