Irrigation Faculty Academy
Educators of students at all levels need to have up-to-date information to enthusiastically train their students. The Irrigation Faculty Academy does just that! The Foundation holds both their agriculture-focused and landscape-focused faculty academies in June. The academies are two-day events that share the latest irrigation technologies and techniques that can be used in the classroom and give educators a place to network and collaborate with others. Both events are free to attend, and grant assistance to aid with travel expenses is available on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to those whose institutions can provide partial financial support. It is open to all instructors teaching at high schools and two- and four-year institutions within the U.S. and Canada. The 2018 faculty academies hosted 61 attendees, 31 whom were first-time attendees.
Agriculture Faculty Academy: June 27-28 at the Irrigation Training and Research Center at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo
